LTC batteries are non-rechargeable primary batteries that are characterized by a higher energy density than other primary cells. The open circuit voltage is 3.7V.
Further advantages are the long shelf life due to the low self-discharge. Their use is less intended for consumers, but for supplying off-grid electronics with low currents over a long period of time, such as wireless security technology or consumption recording devices.
Even when used at extremely low temperatures of minus 55° C, LTC batteries still have over 50% of their original capacity.
